Rome pair arrested after cussing out Circle K manager and drenching her in soda in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, May 24th, 2022, at 3:10 PM, The caller stated that both offenders, later identified as Herbert Clark Buchanan, 58, and Ella Carter Colby, 52, of Rome, came into the store and while they were in the store, Buchanan became angry at the victim the Circle K store manager. According to the report, They began cussing her using loud, very profane language calling the victim a f***ing b***h because she would not give them free hot dogs. Buchanan then exited the store and went out to the parking lot. Soon after Buchanan exited the store Ella Colby who was traveling with Buchanan, walked into the store and began cussing the victim again, who was at this time behind the counter at the cash register. Colby proceeded to yell and cuss and even threw a large cup of cola on the manager, which spilled on the sales counter and into the electronic safe, causing damage to the safe. Colby then left the property with Buchanan in a small Toyota passenger car and drove to 668 Warren Road, where Buchanan made threats to shoot up the construction site where two victims were working to clean up the lot of 668 Warren Road. The report went on to say that the actions of Colby caused over $500 in damages. Colby was booked in to the Floyd County Jail, charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree. Buchanan is charged with disorderly conduct and terroristic threats and acts.
