Rossville man charged with DUI after causing two-vehicle injury crash in Walker County

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on Friday November 19th, 2021, at around 8:00 PM, a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 being driven by William Walter, 23, of Rossville, was traveling north on Dry Valley Road, approaching the stop sign, at Happy Valley Road. A 1998 Isuzu Amigo being driven by Hunter Presnell, 26, of LaFayette, was traveling east on Happy Valley Road. According to the crash report, “The Dodge was traveling too fast to stop at the stop sign and left 140 feet of skid marks. The Dodge traveled through the stop sign and struck the Isuzu in the right side with the front of the Dodge. After impact, the Dodge traveled into the ditch on the southside of Happy Valley Road. and came to rest facing east. The Isuzu came to rest facing south in the west lane of Happy Valley Road. Walter and passenger in the Isuzu were injured in the crash. The passenger Brooke Kerns, 23, of Rossville was transported to Erlanger by CHI EMS. Walter was transported to Memorial by CHI EMS. Walter was cited for DUI, traveling too fast for conditions, and failure to stop for stop sign.
