Rossville woman arrested again for DUI after leaving local bar and being stopped on McFarland Avenue

According to a Rossville Police Department incident report, on October 1st, 2022, at around 3:30 AM, Officer Thomason observed a 2007 Scion that was almost completely in the intersection of McFarland Avenue and West Lake Avenue at the red light. The officer also observed a passenger-side tail light out. Officer Thomason conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver identified as Dasha Marie Brown, 23, of Rossville. Officer Thomason detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person. Officer Thomason reported, “[I] advised ms brown of the stopped and asked if she wanted to tell me where she was coming from. Ms. Brown stated that she was at a local bar shooting pool but that she was not drinking.” When asked to do field sobriety tests, Brown immediately asked for a blood draw. She would eventually agree to the test. Brown showed several signs of impairment and a BAC of .070 on a preliminary breath test. Brown was placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to the state test. Brown was booked into the Walker County Jail and charged with DUI, taillight violation, and failure to obey a traffic control device. According to arrest reports, Dasha was arrested for DUI after being stopped for a taillight/brake light violation in Catoosa County.
