South Carolina and South Georgia men arrested after being caught in undercover child predators sting in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, Investigators continue to conduct proactive investigations to find child predators who use social media platforms to find children for sex. The Investigator reported, “[I] was portraying a 14-year-old girl to identify people using popular apps and websites to lure children for sexual purposes.”  According to the report, Joey Danelle Rogers, 39, of Inman, South Carolina, engaged in online conversation of a sexual nature with someone he thought to be a child. According to the report, Rogers asked the child for “Sexy pics” and then traveled to Rome to meet the child. In Rogers was charged with charged with child molestation, use of a computer to solicit a child to commit a felony, obscene internet contact with a child and sexual exploitation of a child.

In a separate report Floyd County Police Department incident report, Mark Adams, 49, of East Dublin, also engaged in online sexual conversations nature with someone he thought to be a child. He as well asked the child for nude photographs before driving to Rome to meet the child.  According to the report, Adams was found in possession of marijuana while being taken into custody. Adams was charged with child molestation, use of a computer to solicit a child to commit a felony, obscene internet contact with a child, sexual exploitation of a child, possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended licenses.
