Stolen vehicle recovered during traffic stop in Catoosa County, Rossville man arrested

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On September 7th, 2022, at approximately 3:51 PM, Detective Roden and Detective Lyons observed a 2007 gray Lexus 350 turn-off Ann Drive going south on Mack Smith Road. According to the report, “Detective Roden and Detective Lyons got behind the vehicle as it was driving south on Mack Smith Road and had the 911 center run the license plate. The vehicle was observed crossing over the yellow center divider line, and the detectives were about to initiate a traffic stop as the vehicle turned westbound on Cloud Springs Road. Just before a traffic stop was initiated, the 911 center advised that the vehicle was reported stolen through Chattanooga TN.” Deputy Rogers, who was in a marked unit, assisted with the felony traffic stop. The driver, identified as Dylan James Morrison, 29, of Rossville, was ordered out of the vehicle and detained without incident. The vehicle was confirmed stolen and towed due to the owner of the vehicle being unavailable to pick it up. Morrison was found to have a suspended license as well. On October 7th, 2022, Morrison was arrested on the charges of theft by receiving a stolen vehicle and driving while license is suspended. Morrison was also placed on a hold for Walker County for a felony probation violation warrant.
