Summerville man arrested by drug agents on meth distribution charges in Chattooga County

According to a Summerville Police Department incident report, Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force Agents arrested a man after finding methamphetamine, drug-related objects and cash in a Scoggins Street apartment on March 2nd, 2022. Agents searched John Douglas Reid, 71, of Summerville, apartment and found three baggies containing methamphetamine, a pink cylinder containing methamphetamine, two digital scales with methamphetamine residue on them, measuring spoons with methamphetamine on them and $1,369 in cash. Reid was booked into the Chattooga County Jail, charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet if a housing project and possession of drug-related objects.
