Summerville man charged with DUI after crashing into power pole on Highland Avenue

According to Summerville Police report, on Saturday September 18th, 2021, Officers respond to Highland Avenue near Ira Pollard Drive around 11:35 p.m. to find a 2003 Infiniti M45, driven by Jadarius Delizaves Price, 23, of Summerville off the roadway against a broken utility pole, according to a crash report from the Summerville Police Department. Price told officers he was driving 55 miles per hour and swerved to avoid striking a cat,” according to reports. Police could smell alcohol on Price’s breath and administered a breathalyzer test, which confirmed Price had been drinking, according to reports. Price admitted he had been drinking and advised that he was not injured,” according to reports. Price was arrested and booked into the Chattooga County Jail charged with, DUI- driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to maintain lane and no proof of insurance.
