Summerville woman arrested after fight at Walmart service desk ends with ham being thrown at employee

According to a Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Walmart employees spoke with Deputy Alan Garmany and told him Amber Nicole Wooten, 35, Summerville, and Audrey Wooten were involved in the fight. Audrey Wooten was returning a ham to purchase some cheese instead when Amber Wooten came into the service area and swung at Audrey Wooten. Deputy Garmany checked out the video surveillance footage and saw Audrey Wooten start “a verbal altercation which quickly escalated to being physical when Audrey Wooten started pushing and pointed her finger to Amber Wooten. That was when Amber Wooten went to punch and made contact to the face area of Audrey Wooten. The two started pushing each other down the service desk and up against another customer. When the two females got to the end of the counter, Audrey Wooten picked up Amber Wooten and slammed her down onto the floor.” Amber Wooten then left the store and Audrey Wooten tried to leave the store with some of the ham she was returning. When she was stopped by a Walmart employee, she “threw the item back at [the employee] and left the store.” Audrey Wooten, who requested EMS, was released from custody on a misdemeanor court summons citation due to her having heart heart-related problems. Amber Wooten arrested and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail, charged with affray (fighting).
