Suspicious person call leads to two wanted felons and stolen vehicle in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, On October 13th, 2022, Officer Carrington responded to a call in reference to a suspicious male in a black SUV sitting on the property of 3389 Wax Road. Officer Carrington arrived and located a male on the property, identified as Joseph Ray Turley, 30, of Rome, who was found to have a warrant through Parole. Turley was placed under arrest for the warrant. Zackery Chase Summerville, 25, of Cedartown, was found in the SUV. Officers ran the information from the tag and VIN for the Chevy Tahoe, and it returned stolen out of Polk County. Zackery was found to have a probation violation. Zackery and Turley were both booked into the Floyd County Jail on the warrant. Zackery was additionally charged with theft by receiving a stolen vehicle.
