According to the District Attorney Bert Poston, 18-year-old Alexandro Agapito Perez-Lucas was sentenced by Judge Cindy Morris to serve a total of 85 years in prison with the first 20 years to be served without the possibility of parole. According to the press release, Perez-Lucas was convicted of armed robbery, false imprisonment, criminal street gang activity and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He received 10 years concurrent with that for false imprisonment. He received 60 years consecutive to that for the violations of the street gang act. And he received five years consecutive to the 60 years for the firearm violation. He is also required to pay $13,383 in restitution to the victim business, La Esquinita. The evidence established that the teenagers held a cashier and customers at gun point while they robbed the La Esquinita store on Hamilton Street. Each defendant had a hand gun during the robbery. Two children, ages 8 and 10, were present in the store during the robbery.
