Teen motorcyclist seriously injured after elderly motorist turns in front of him Wednesday afternoon in Rocky Face

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on Wednesday 28th, 2021, at around 2:36 PM , a 2002 Jeep Grad Cherokee, being driven by Judith Miller, 79, of Rocky Face was traveling north on GA-3. A 2015 KTM motorcycle being driven by William Clayborn, 18, of Tunnel Hill was traveling south on GA-3 in the left lane. Miller failed to yield while turning left at GA-201. The motorcycle struck the Jeep in the right front with its front. Area of impact occurred in the left southbound lane. After initial impact the motorcycle rotated clock wise and came to an uncontrolled rest in the left southbound lane facing north. The Jeep came to a controlled rest on GA-201. Area of impact was determined by driver statements, road debris, and vehicle damage and witness statements. A witness stated he was traveling behind the motorcycle. He stated he was in the right lane, the motorcycle was in the left lane, he advised they had a green light at the intersection, he advised the Jeep pulled into motorcycle’s lane of travel. He also stated he did not believe the motorcycle was speeding.¬†William was thrown form the motorcycle and seriously injured. Life Force landed in the middle of GA-3 and transported William to Erlanger Medical in Chattanooga.
