Tennessee felon found driving stolen truck while in possession of meth in Rossville

According to a Rossville Police Department incident report, On Tuesday, September 13th, 2022, at 10:30 AM, Officer Galyon was stationary on Brody Lane and West Gordon Avenue when he observed a gold Chevrolet S10 traveling past him. Officer Galyon reported, “[I] made eye contact with the driver as he passed by, and he appeared alarmed. [I] ran an inquiry on the Tennessee registration displayed on the vehicle and discovered that the truck was reported stolen out of Hamilton County, Tennessee. By this time, the truck had quickly parked across the street in the back lot of Bell’s Smoke Shop.” Officer Galyon conducted a felony traffic stop and took the driver, identified as Kenneth Gerald Hill, 34, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, into custody at gunpoint. While searching Kenneth, Officer Galyon located meth inside a clear cellophane package in his pocket. Kenneth said the substance in his pocket was meth. Kenneth also said he had bought the truck three weeks ago from a man in Sale Creek, Tennessee, for $2,300 cash. Kenneth was transported to the Walker County Jail and charged with theft by receiving (Felony), theft by Bringing Stolen Property into the State (Felony), and possession of methamphetamine (Felony).
