According to a Rossville Police Department incident report, On October 16th, 2022, at 3:20 AM, Officer Thomason was patrolling southbound on Chickamauga Avenue when he observed a Chevrolet Tahoe parked in the middle of the road on Georgia Terrace at the intersection at Chickamauga Avenue. Officer Thomason checked out the vehicle, which had now pulled over to the side of the road, and made contact with the driver, identified as Hunter Scott White, 24, of Pikeville, TN. White was observed to be swaying while standing outside his vehicle. Officer Thomason reported, “White advised me that his battery was dying, and he just wanted to go home. Mr. White had bloodshot and watery eyes and was mumbling his words. [I] could detect the smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. [I] asked Mr. White if he had been drinking, and he said he had not.” During field sobriety testing, White showed several signs of impairment. Officer Thomason asked White once again if he had been drinking, and he stated he was at Buffalo Wild Wings and was drinking at dinner. White then refused a preliminary breath test. White was then placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to the state test. Officer Brown transported White to the Walker County Jail, charged with DUI and improper parking.
