Tennessee man arrested for DUI after speeding in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On Saturday, September 17th, 2022, at 8:07 PM, Deputy Kuzma stopped a 2012 black Cadillac Escort traveling 51 mph in a posted 35 mph zone on Graysville Road. Prior to the traffic stop, the vehicle had failed to maintain its lane by driving in the middle of the roadway on Swanson Road. According to the report, “While Deputy Kuzma was asking for driver later identified as Jamichael L Greer, 32, of Tennessee, his information he could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle. Deputy Kuzma asked Jamichael where he was coming from, and he stated that he was leaving a birthday party off Pine Grove Road. Deputy Kuzma noticed that Jamichael’s eyes were glassy and asked Jamichael if he had anything to drink tonight, and he stated he hadn’t. He just got done smoking a cigarette. Deputy Kuzma asked the offender if he would be willing to perform field sobriety, and he stated he would but kept telling Deputy Kuzma that he was almost to his destination and that Deputy Kuzma could just follow him.” Jamichael said it was no big deal and to just let him go. During field sobriety testing, Jamichael showed several signs of impairment and showed a BAC of .144 on a PBT after several attempts of not blowing. Jamichael was placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to the state test. The passenger Emily Jade Ledbetter advised the deputy that Jamichael should not have been driving and said she should have driven them home. Jamichael was booked into the Catoosa County Jail, charged with speeding and DUI.
