Tennessee registered sex offender arrested in Catoosa County after failing to register

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On June 19th, 2022, at 9:00 AM, Detective Pitts was contacted by Detective David Michaels of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office. Detective Michaels advised James Donald Tusing, 49, of 135 Sherwood Forrest Lane, Ringgold, is a registered sex offender in Bradley County, Tennessee. Detective Michaels advised he had been contacted by the homeowner of the residence the suspect is supposed to live at and informed the suspect had left the residence, and it was believed he was staying with a female at 135 Sherwood Forest Lane Ringgold, Catoosa County, Georgia. On June 24th, 2022, at approximately 4:00 PM, Detective Pitts made contact with the female at 135 Sherwood Forest Lane for a courtesy notification. She advised James had returned to Bradley County, Tennessee, and had only been visiting her at her residence. She also advised she is dating James. Detective Pitts informed Her of the rules pertaining to registered sex offenders and left the scene. On June 30th, 2021, at approximately 4:00 PM, Detective Pitts was contacted by the park manager of Sherwood Forest Mobile Home Park. The manager advised James had been seen in the mobile home park and had been staying with the female since Saturday, June 25th, 2022. On July 1st, 2022, at approximately 2:45 PM, Detective Pitts obtained warrant number W22-1715 charging James with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. James was booked into the Catoosa County Jail, on July 1st, at 4:54 PM, and was released after his first court appearance on July 3rd on a $3,500 cash bond.
