Tennessee woman arrested for DUI after speeding and failing to maintain lane on I-75 in Whitfield County

According to a Georgia State Patrol incident report, On May 28th, 2022, at approximately 6:39 PM, Trooper Cantrell merged onto I-75 southbound at mile marker 336. Trooper Cantrell stopped a black Nissan Versa after observing it pass several cars at 86 mph and fail to maintain its lane traveling off onto the left shoulder before returning back to its lane. The trooper also observed the Nissan weaving in its lane. The trooper made contact with the driver, identified as Brianna Parker, 23, of Goodlettsville, TN. Trooper Cantrell reported, “While talking with Mrs. Parker, [I] could smell the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her vehicle. [I] asked Mrs. Parker how much she had to drink, and she first stated “not much”. [I] asked Mrs. Parker to exit her vehicle, and she did. [I] asked Mrs. Parker again if it was just one drink, and she changed her answer to two drinks. [I] asked Mrs. Parker what she was drinking, and she advised that it was like a white claw-type drink. During field sobriety tests, Parker showed several signs of impairment and a BAC of .073 on a PBT. Parker was then placed under arrest for DUI driving under the influence and agreed to the state blood draw. Parker was booked into the Whitfield County Jail, charged with speeding, failure to maintain a single lane, and DUI.
