According to a Dalton Police Department incident report, on Saturday, January 15th, 2022, at around 11:21 AM, Officer CE Jenkins was on a traffic stop on South Tibbs Road when dispatch gave out a robbery in progress at Kroger on Walnut Avenue. Officer Jenkins reported, “[I] then began headed towards Walnut Ave when dispatch informed that the suspect vehicle left going south towards Tibbs. The vehicle was a white Mercedes with no tag. [I] then informed dispatch of my location and followed the vehicle until Officer Murdoch got with me. Myself and Officer Murdoch then made a felony traffic stop on the vehicle.” All three male occupants were then taken into custody without further incident.
