Three from Florida injured in single-vehicle crash Saturday morning on I-75 in Whitfield County

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on Saturday, March 13th, 2021, at around 7:22 AM, a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander being driven by Barbara Mary Williams, 28, of Miami-Dade County, Florida, was traveling south on I-75 southbound near mile marker 337 in the outside travel lane. Williams was sleepy/fatigued and closed her eyes briefly. The Outlander traveled south onto the west shoulder. Williams attempted to steer left towards the roadway. The Outlander began to rotate counterclockwise on an embankment. The Outlander overturned and continued until striking a large sign support/sign with its top. The Outlander came to an uncontrolled final rest facing southeast on the west shoulder. Williams, along with passengers Joel Brown, 38, and a three-year-old, were all injured in the crash. Williams and the three-year-old were transported by Hamilton EMS to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
