Trion pair arrested for shoplifting after skip scanning merchandise at Walmart in Chattooga County

According to a Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office incident report, on Thursday, November 11th, 2021, at around 12:00 PM, Corporal Nicole Flood was dispatched to Walmart located at 13427 US-27 in reference to two shoplifters. Corporal Flood reported, “Upon arrival [I] spoke with the complainant, assist protection associate who advised he observed the two subjects identified as Cayetana Baltazar, 21, and Pablo Baltazarat Jeronimo, 21, both of Trion, at the self check register.” According to the report, He advised the female would scan one item, and the male subject placed two items in another buggy. The self-check host went to try and assist the two with scanning the items. When she walked away, they continued to skip scan items. Cayetana and Pablo then went to another register and did the same thing. They then finished the transaction and walked out of the grocery exit, making no attempt to pay for the unscanned merchandise. According to the report, a total of 19 items were shoplifted, valued at $78.02. Cayetana and Pablo were both transported to the Chattooga County Jail, charged with shoplifting.
