Tunnel Hill couple killed, three injured in two-vehicle crash Monday in Murray County

According to the Georgia State Patrol, “These are the preliminary findings of an ongoing investigation by GSP Post 43 Calhoun. On Dec, 27, at approximately 4:50 p.m., a Trooper arrived at the scene of a two-vehicle crash occurring at the intersection of GA 52 and Commerce Drive in Murray County. A Honda Civic failed to yield as it was driving north on Commerce Drive and traveled into the path of a Ford Five Hundred traveling west on GA 52. The driver (Mr. Fred Dagnan, age 45) and front passenger (Mrs. Tammy Dagnan, age 44) of the Honda Civic were both pronounced deceased at the scene. Impairment is not suspected. The driver of the Honda Civic was unrestrained at the time of the crash and was ejected. A 28-year-old male, rear seat passenger, in the Honda Civic was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 47-year-old male driver and 46-year-old female passenger in the Ford Five Hundred were transported to Hamilton Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.”
