After impact, the F-800 came to an uncontrolled final rest facing northwest at the intersection of Mill Creek Road at Hurricane Road. Payne stated he was not sure what Raymond was doing. Payne stated he was unsure if he was going to turn left onto Hurricane Road or get back into the south travel lane. Payne stated he began to veer to his left slightly to travel into the south travel lane to avoid the collision, but he did not want to hit another vehicle head-on, so he applied his brakes, hoping the Colorado would move from his direct path of travel. It was unclear what the intentions of Raymond were. The investigating Trooper observed a clear area of impact (gouge mark) in the center of the northbound travel lane.” According to the report, Raymond was killed in the crash.
