Two seriously injured in serious two-vehicle crash on Highway 136 in Walker County Saturday

According to the Georgia State Patrol Public Information Director, “The following are preliminary details as the crash is still under investigation. On Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 3:38 pm, Troopers from Post 41 Lafayette responded to a two-vehicle crash on GA 136 near Cicero Road, in Walker County.  A 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling east on GA 136 towing a trailer, and a 2019 Nissan pickup truck was traveling west on GA 136. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado crossed the centerline, and the trailer struck the Nissan, causing the truck to leave the roadway. The driver of the Nissan was trapped and transported to Erlanger Hospital by Life Flight with serious injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was ejected from the vehicle and was transported to Erlanger Hospital with serious injuries. The Georgia State Patrol Troop A Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating.”
