According to a Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office incident report, on November 7th, 2021, at approximately 2:50 PM, Deputy Dennison was patrolling the area of East Walnut Avenue and Chatsworth Highway. According to the report, “Deputy Dennison performed a traffic stop on a vehicle and made contact with the driver David Castillo, 23, of Chatsworth. Mr. Castillo did not speak any English. Deputy Dennison informed Mr. Castillo that the registration on the vehicle had been expired for almost a month. Ms. Garcia (the passenger) stated that she was the owner of the vehicle and that she did not pay it. Deputy Dennison asked Mr. Castillo for his license, and Mr. Castillo stated that he did not have a license.” The deputy then placed Castillo into custody. The deputy issued Garcia a citation for expired registration. Castillo was transported to the Whitfield County Jail charged with driving without a license.
