According to a Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office incident report, on October 29th, 2021 at around 7:25 PM, Deputy Sharpe was traveling southbound on I-75 in the far left lane. According to the report, “Deputy Sharpe observed the far-left lane traveling about 60 to 63 MPH slower the middle lane on I-75. Deputy Sharpe had at least three vehicles that was in far-left lane get into the middle lane due to traffic being slowed down in the left-lane. Deputy Sharpe was able to get into the middle lane. Deputy Sharpe observed a white 2003 Toyota Tundra with a Florida tag. This vehicle had no other vehicles in front it, and could have moved over.” The deputy conducted a traffic stop on I-75 southbound about mile marker 339. The made contact with the driver Fredy Villatoro Dominguez, 34, of Florida, and explained the reason for the traffic stop. According to the report, “Mr. Villatoro Dominguez handed Deputy Sharpe a Guatemala passport. Mr. Villatoro Dominguez did not have a valid driver license in the states or Guatemala.” Villatoro Dominguez was transported to the Whitfield County Jail, charged with impeding flow of traffic and driving while unlicensed.
