Unlicensed man takes vehicle without permission and crashes it in Walker County

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on May 9th, 2021, at around 10: 32 PM, a 2006 Kia Sorento being driven by Seth Patrick Walsh, 21, of Rossville, was traveling south on North Long Hollow Road, negotiating a curve too fast for the wet conditions and the driver lost control. The Kia crossed into the opposite lane of travel and exited the east side of the roadway, striking a ditch with its front. After impact, the Kia overturned and came to a final uncontrolled final rest on its top facing west in the ditch. Walker County sheriff deputies and Georgia State trooper learned Walsh had taken the vehicle without permission. Walsh suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported by CHI EMS to CHI Memorial of Georgia. Walsh was later booked into the Walker County Jail, charged with felony theft by taking a motor vehicle, driving too fast for conditions, the wrong side of the roadway, failure to maintain lane, driving while unlicensed.
