Walker County Fire Rescue responded to the address at 5724 North Highway 27 near Black Circle in Rock Spring at around 11:25 PM, Walker County 911 reported the caller advised her neighbors house was on fire and that flames was visible. Walker County Fire Rescue arrived on scene a minute after of being paged advising fire heavy showing out the roof. The only occupant in the house was able to get out safely. She was located by a Walker County Sheriff deputy walking down Highway 27 near the scene. She advised authorities she was cold and had started a fire in the living room to stay warm. No injuries were reported during the fire and the house is reported as a complete loss. Highway 27 Northbound lanes were shutdown for several hours while firemen extinguished the house fire.
