Walker County pair arrested during DUI traffic stop after domestic altercation in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On June 27th, 2022, at 2:57 AM, Lt. Lawson was responding to an address on Joshua Farms Lane in reference to a domestic. As the deputy approached Foster Road, he observed a 2005 Nissan Murano fail to yield, turning north on Hwy 41 in front of him. The vehicle matched the description from the domestic call. The driver, identified as Kati Elizabeth Arterburn, 32, of Walker County, stated they had just left an address on Joshua Farms Lane where David Dalton Armstrong, 30, of Walker County, had been into a physical altercation with another man. According to the report, “LT Lawson detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle. LT Lawson asked Kati how much she had to drink. She stated she had consumed two shots of vodka and a beer before driving. During field sobriety tests, Kati showed several signs of impairment, and her breath showed positive for an alcoholic beverage on a PBT. Kati was placed under arrest for DUI. According to the report, Kati was read Ga Implied Consent for breath. Kati refused to answer, asking to call her attorney. LT Lawson informed her it required a yes or no answer. Kati again asked to call her attorney and would not give LT Lawson an answer. The passenger David was found to have a failure to appear warrant through Rossville and another warrant through Catoosa County. Both Kati and David was booked into the Catoosa County Jail.
