[I] called him by name and identified myself verbally as a sheriff’s deputy and told him to stop. Donald then began to run west behind the house through the woods and gave chase. Throughout the foot pursuit, [I] gave multiple commands for him to stop and advised him multiple times that [I] was with the sheriff’s office, but he continued to flee. The chase continued for about 3 miles through the woods, and [I] was able to catch up to Donald.” Deputy Camp deployed his taser after Donald refused commands and achieved full neuromuscular incapacitation. Deputy Ferguson assisted with taking Donald into custody after a brief struggle and being tased again. Donald advised deputies that he did not realize that they were with the Walker County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Camp reported, “[I] advised him that [I] found that very unlikely.
