Wanted Indiana fugitives arrested in Trion by Chattooga County sheriff deputy

According to a Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office incident report, on November 1st, 2021, Deputy Wilks was contacted by Mulberry Indiana Police Department Officer Rushton. According to the report, Officer Rushton advised a Stephanie Blackwell of Lebanon, Indiana, had a current valid felony warrant from Jackson County, Indiana, for failure to appear on an auto theft charge, and the suspect had fled the jurisdiction to prevent prosecution. He advised the suspect was staying at 341 Maffett Street in Trion, GA. According to the report, Deputy Wilks then contacted Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and verified Stephanie’s felony warrant. According to the report, “Officer Rushton stated the suspect has been contacting a resident of Indiana asking for items to be mailed to the address of 341 Maffett Street. Deputy Wilks reported, “While on scene at 341 Maffett, a subject later identified Terrill Lynn Blackwell, also of same Lebanon, Indiana, address stated that Stephanie was there but asleep. Mr. Blackwell was also checked through Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) and returned with the same felony warrant as Ms. Blackwell with full extradition.” Both Stephanie and Terrill were transported to the Chattooga County Jail charged with fugitive from justice.
