Woman arrested for DUI after 911 call regarding vehicle driving all over the road in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On September 2nd, 2022, at 10:01 PM, Lt. Cunningham heard dispatch give out a be on the lookout for a maroon 1995 Ford Ranger traveling on Graysville Road. According to the report, “Dispatch advised there was a concerned citizen/911 caller behind the vehicle and driver later identified as Melba Jennings Breedlove, 56, was driving in the opposite lane of travel. Lt. Cunningham was able to get behind Melba and the complainant on Three Notch Road. Lt. Cunningham observed Melba crossing the center line and going into the opposite lane of travel. Lt. Cunningham initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with Melba.” Melba was extremely slow with her movements, and her speech was slurred. Lt. Cunningham observed a pill bottle in the left front pocket of Melba’s shorts. When asked, Melba stated she takes numerous medications. During field sobriety testing, the test was immediately stopped due to Melba almost falling over. Melba was placed under arrest for DUI drugs and agreed to the state test.
