Woman arrested for DUI multiple substances after driving all over the roadway in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022, at 6:50 AM, Deputy Swan was en route to the Sheriff’s Office to begin shift when he observed a 2021 Jeep Cherokee with a Texas tag, swerving all over the roadway on Highway 41. Deputy Swan then initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver Tiffany Marie Simmons, 29. While the Catoosa County deputy was attempting to stop Tiffany, she struck the curve and continued to drive all over Highway 41 and Battlefield Parkway. Lt. Lawson arrived on the scene and assisted with the traffic stop. According to the report, “Lt. Lawson approached Tiffany and asked her where she was coming from. She stated she was coming from a friend’s house. Lt Lawson noted Tiffany spoke with slurred speech. Tiffany stated she took some clonazepam.” While speaking with Tiffany outside of her vehicle, Lt. Lawson detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on Tiffany’s breath. During field sobriety tests, Tiffany showed several signs of impairment. During the tests, Tiffany nearly fell over and the tests were stopped. Tiffany was placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to the state testing of her blood. Tiffany was booked into the Catoosa County Jail, charged with DUI multiple substances, and failure to maintain a single lane.
